Born in Bologna from a Welsh mother and Bolognese father in 1964, Alexandra studied at the “G.B.Martini” Conservatory of Music, graduating in Harp in June 1984 with a 10/10 mark.


In 1985 and 1986 obtained scholarships for the International Orchestral Training Courses and the Chamber Music Courses of the Municipality of Lanciano.


In 1988 achieved the Expert of Music Diploma with a vote of 8/10 in a European Competition.
 

In 1993 obtains the qualification for teaching Music Education in Middle Schools with a score of 59/80.

  • 1984-1995 Alexandra played with various orchestras including the Estense Orchestra, the Orchestra EUR Spettacoli of Livorno, the Amadeus Orchestra of Rome, the Manoel Orchestra of Malta (the only foreign guest member), the National Orchestra of Tunis, the Orchestra Collegium Musicum Almae Matris University of Bologna and the Symphony Orchestra Haydn of Trento and Bolzano, performing concerts in Italy and abroad, including Amsterdam, Utrecht, Konstanz, Tunis, La Valletta with symphonic, opera and ballet repertoire.
     

  • From 1985 to 2010, Alexandra played with several chamber music groups. In a harp-cello duo with Antonio Di Credico, she gave many classical music concerts, such as the opening of the season of the Amici della Musica Catanzaro and for the Magna Grecia Cultural Association of Soverato. Later Alexandra played numerous concerts of pop music with the harpists Cristina Blarzino and Diana Costantini.
    She also collaborated with the saxophonist Pepito Ros, the flutist/saxophonist Cristina Venturi and the flutist Andrea Amendola in concerts and entertainment music.
    The Mix Duo with the violinist Sergio La Vaccara played various classical, pop, and Celtic music concerts in more than ten years. With the Soprano Sabrina Schneider, in the Duo Flavetum, Alexandra gave numerous concerts of Trentino folk music and operettas.

     

  • 1984 - to the present, Chamber Music Concerts, Celtic Music with Irish lutherie harp (made by Paddy Cafferky- Galway) are in Alexandras program.
    In concert lessons she  introduces young people to music.

     

  • 1998–2020 Alexandra Selleri worked as a harp teacher at the Accademia Musicale Altogarda
     

  • 2001 – 2019 She collaborated with the APT Terme di Comano - Dolomiti di Brenta to promote the territory.
     

  • 2009 - to the present date, Alexandra started a project with the painter Danilo Pozzatti on cultural meetings where pictorial, historical, and musical techniques are treated.
    Danilo Pozzatti is probably the only Italian painter to use the oil painting technique on copper, already very widespread among Flemish painters

     

  • 2010–2015 She was harp teacher at the Music School of the Giudicarie, Tione di Trento
